The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation has supported the passive house project of the APG for the Olympic Games 2010 in Vancouver, Canada, with CAD 150,000.
The sustainability aspects of the passive house construction method of the Austria House, as well as the fact that this house will benefit future generations in Whistler, are in accordance with the values of the Foundation.
The project can be accomplished by this generous support, a significant contribution.
According to Mei McCurdy, Executive Director of the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, the organization is proud to be a partner in this project, especially as the passive house will be donated to the community of Whistler for further use after the Olympic Games.
The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation was established in 1992 and has since supported projects and local charity organizations which enhance the region around Whistler.
