The roofers have taken control of the roof space. After a day of preparatory work, which involved fitting the roof rails and gutters, they started on the roof itself and once underway it went up smoothly. The look of the house is changing constantly, e.g. you can’t see the battens anymore and the roof panels have come to the fore.

The house will be made rainproof with a roof covering of Eternit panels after a construction period of just two weeks – work breaks due to rain will then be a thing of the past. For the Canadian members of staff from Eternit, which is a sponsor of this passive house project, it is also a good opportunity to see how the roofers from Alberschwende work. With this exchange of know-how they can see the technical details of their laying techniques, and thus this provides a concrete example, another advantage of this partnership, in which all participating companies benefit.
