Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games 2010

The Austria House is constructed as a passive house. The house will have 250 square metres of floor space, and will be a state-of-the-art building using ecological construction materials.The Austria House is constructed using solid wood construction. This is a joint project between the APG, "Quality made in Austria", and the company Dürfeld Log Construction Ltd. at Whistler.

• 1.6 million tickets will be sold for the Olympic Games
• 250,000 tickets will be sold for the Paralympic Games
• Events take place over the 17 days of the Winter Olympics
• Events take place over 10 days of the Paralympic Games
• 5,500 Olympic athletes and officials
• 1,350 Paralympic athletes and officials
• 25,000 volunteers
• 80+ countries take take part in the Olympic Games
• 40+ countries take part in the Paralympic Games
• 10,000 accredited media representatives
• 3 billion viewers worldwide
