The Treberspurg architect's office has been in business since 1982, and Treberspurg & Partner Architekten Ziviltechniker GmbH was established in 1996. Members of the team include Martin Treberspurg, Friedrich Mühling, Christian Wolfert and Bernhard Kollmann.
Their focus is on the planning and implementation of building construction which meets the resident's requirements of high quality in design, increases their quality of life, and has low energy use, through the use of solar energy, and therefore has a low cost to the environment.
Treberspurg & Partner Architekten has realized trend-setting projects in the field of energy-efficient building design that have received international attention. Due to their experience as a general planner of large-scale projects, they are able to handle them in a efficient and cost-effective way.
In the field of energy retrofitting of existing buildings they have also carried out energy-efficient renovations, the rebuilding and building of annexes, and careful restorations of historic buildings, keeping the preservation order closely in mind. Constant research and development work enables the office to use innovative architectural concepts in an optimal way.
In 1999 their high level of dedication was rewarded by receiving the “Sir Robert Matthew Prize”, the worldwide architecture award of the UIA (Union Internationale des Architectes). Additionally they have received the following prizes and awards: Energy Globe Austria (2001, 2002), Austria EUROSOLAR Prize for Architecture (2005), National Award for Consulting - awarded by the panel, and the Vienna Future Award 2008.
